Best Practices - Individual Account

Best Practices - Individual Account

Follow these best practice tips to ensure your account is set up to successfully and efficiently collect testimonials:

1. Make sure your profile information is complete

After you've signed up for your account you'll want to make sure you add as much information as possible to your profile.

From your dashboard click on the wheel icon (upper right corner) and then Account. Here you can add your website, Facebook Page URL, and upload your profile image. You can also select your Business Category and Time Zone.

Enter your address, a bio, and a license number if applicable and then click Save.

2. Add your logo and brand colors

In addition to adding your profile picture (in step 1), you can also add your company logo and select your brand colors. The logo and colors will appear on your testimonial request.

3. Add your third-party review sites

With Testimonial Tree you have the ability to pull in any existing reviews you may have on sites like Google, Zillow, Facebook, etc (monitoring). You can also prompt clients to leave a review for you on these sites after testimonial completion (generation).

You'll find this feature under Review Generation. Follow the instructions here to set up your sites!

4. Request a testimonial

Now you're ready to request a testimonial

Click the green Collect Testimonal button on the bottom left of your dashboard. From here you can collect via the Testimonal Tree system by email and/or text or you can use the provided link and embed it in your own email.

On the testimonial collection page, your client will be able to select a star rating and leave a testimonial.

5. Share your testimonial

Congrats you've got a testimonial! Let's share it!

You can click into your testimonial from the email notification you received, or from the dashboard click the testimonial you want to share and you'll see some options on the right-hand side.

We think the best way to share your testimonial is with the Image Generator (Beta). This will create an image with the testimonial and your headshot (or a stock photo) and then you can download and get that 5 star on your social media timeline!

Optional steps:

Add a website widget

To display your testimonials on your website, you can create a widget and then apply the widget code to your site. Our widgets can be customized in many ways to match the look and feel of your website.

Connect Realtor.com

If you are a real estate agent and have a Realtor.com profile you can connect your Testimonial Tree account.

Great work! You'll all set to collect, manage and share your testimonials!
