FAQ: Survey Collection vs. Testimonial Collection

In Testimonial Tree there are two main ways to collect a testimonial. At the company level we have a survey collection option and at the sub-user level we have a testimonial collection option. This article goes over the differences and how you can best use both options to collect testimonials. 

Survey Collection

  1. The survey is designed to be collected at the company level and can include questions for internal use (for example, "How would you rate your agent on the following....) in addition to asking for a star rating, NPS question, and testimonial. 

  2. Surveys may be sent automatically through an integration with your transaction management system, however surveys can also be sent manually by account admins or managers. Surveys can not be sent by sub-users.

  3. Surveys have a few unique features including adjustable auto-reminders via email and auto-redirect to a third-party review site, such as a Google Business Page. This encourages clients to copy and paste their testimonials on third-party sites quickly and easily.

Testimonial Collection

  1. While surveys are sent at the company user level, testimonial collection is available and specific to any sub-user. A testimonial collection can be sent via the Testimonial Tree dashboard or the users unique link.

  2. Users can use this collection method to request testimonials from current or prior clients, vendors, other colleagues they've worked with, etc.
  1. There are no auto-reminders with a testimonial collection. However, users can generate a one-time reminder from their dashboard. 
  1. After submitting a Testimonial Collection, the client is taken to a landing thank you page instead of auto-redirecting, allowing clients to select which third-party site they would like to copy and paste their testimonial on.
